Retired
La Farge, WI
I taught in Elementary and Middle Schools in Green Bay for 35 years. Since retirement, I have taught for 20 years at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve, working with students from Grade 1 to  Post-Grad adults.  In my career, I have been named Wisconsin Teacher of the Year, Brown County Outstanding Educator, Green Bay Teacher of the Year, Golden Apple Recipient for Northeast Wisconsin, and, in 2000, named one of the 100 Most Interesting People of the 20th Century in Northeastern Wisconsin.
With my fellow presenters, we developed a CSI-type science unit for Middle and High School Teachers. It has been presented at education conferences for the WEA, NEWEA, Lutheran Schools of Wisconsin, WSST, as well as inservice programs for individual schools. We have published 2 teaching manuals for the unit. The latest edition will be available at this WSST Conference.
