Wisconsin K-12 Energy Education Program (KEEP), Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education
Sara has worked with the Wisconsin K-12 Energy Education Program (KEEP) since 2005. KEEP is a program of the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education at UW-Stevens Point. Sara has supported teachers and schools across the state as they've integrated energy concepts into curricula to increase and improve energy literacy. Some of Sara's focal areas include supporting Technology and Engineering Educators in energy education, developing KEEP's Building Science program, assisting schools who are interested in installing renewable energy systems, and working with Cool Choices to encourage and motivate sustainable behaviors at the K-12 level. Sara received the Educator of the Year award from Seventhwave in 2017. She has a B.A. in Environmental Science and Biology from Adrian College and an M.S. in Environmental Studies from the College of Charleston.
